*Javea International Baptist Church Holds Pastoral Dedication for Richard Stein*
On Sunday, January 11, 2026, Javea International Baptist Church celebrated the pastoral dedication of Richard Stein, who has been officially called to serve as the church’s new pastor. The service began promptly at 10:30 AM British time and brought together members of the congregation, local church leaders, friends and family.
Founded 30 years ago in the Marina Alta region by Primera Iglesia Bautista la Trinidad of Dénia, Javea International Baptist Church follows the congregational tradition, in which churches independently choose their pastors, deacons, and elders. In keeping with this practice, the congregation officially welcomed Richard Stein as their new spiritual leader, marking a new chapter in the church’s history.
The Sunday ceremony featured several notable contributions. Hans Stein, the father of the new pastor, delivered the sermon, reflecting on faith, service, and the calling of ministry. Musical direction was provided by Marcos Martins, enhancing the service with heartfelt worship. The pastoral dedication itself was led by Jorge J. Pastor, who prayed over Richard Stein and his ministry, formally commissioning him to serve the congregation.
All Sunday services and activities at Javea International Baptist Church are conducted in English, catering to the growing English-speaking community in Javea and the surrounding areas. The church has been experiencing significant growth in recent years, offering not only spiritual guidance but also a welcoming community for families and individuals seeking fellowship and faith-based support. One of the current challenges the congregation faces is finding a larger space to accommodate this growth and to consolidate the ministry and activities that the church is developing.
