Our values inform, guide and reflect all we do at Javea International Baptist Church.
1. We value full devotion to Christ and his cause as the normal way of life for every believer. - This includes the concepts of stewardship, servant hood and spiritual disciplines.
2. We value the Holy Spirit as God’s empowering presence. - We believe it is by the Holy Spirit living in each believer, that the power of God is present with us.
3. We value the Bible as our trustworthy guide for life. - We recognize that the primary agent for change in an individual’s life is the Holy Spirit working through the Word of God.
4. We value spiritual growth. - We want to see people grow in faith and commitment to Jesus by helping them develop personal authenticity, character and wholeness.
5. We value connecting with God in prayer. - We want to express our dependence upon God by passionately seeking and hearing from Him and continually looking to Him for guidance and power.
6. We value joyful and inspiring worship. - We want to celebrate God’s greatness and goodness in Word and Spirit.
7. We value authentic, loving relationships. - We believe that how we relate to each other is at the heart of what it means to be a New Testament Church.
8. We value the truth that God has uniquely designed and equipped each member of the church to serve one other. - We want to see love expressed for one another through acts of service, small group involvement and spiritual gift-based ministry.
9. We value godly leadership by those with leadership gifts and in the accountability of all those in leadership. - We want to be a church where those in leadership are honoured as servant leaders, caring for the flock and providing appropriate spiritual discipline where necessary.
10. We value outreach to our community and world. - We want to live out and share the good news of Jesus Christ through evangelism, Church-planting and other local and global endeavors.
